Healthy Diet

I have posted many articles about having and keeping healthy diet previously, but in this article I mainly focus on the main nutrients and minerals that are essential for maintaining a body.

When one is talking about healthy diet, sufficient amount of nutrients and minerals intake plays vital role. Healthy eating plan helps in lowering risks of heart disease as well as other health conditions. Your healthy eating plan must emphasize on vegetables, fruits, low-fat or fat-free milk products, and whole grains. You can also include nuts, eggs, fish, poultry, and lean meats. Your food must be low in trans fat, salt, added sugars, cholesterol, and saturated fats. Try controlling portion sizes. If your eating plan includes 1,000 to 1,200 calories per day, you will safely lose weight. There are different eating plans designed for women, men, and breastfeeding or pregnant women. Atkins diet is one of the most popular healthy diets being adopted these days by people of all age groups. You can also go for all green diet in which you require consuming green leafy vegetables for most part of the day.

There are diet plans wherein you’ll be asked to practice liquid diet for a day, fast for another day, and have regular food for remaining days of the week. The diet planner will be the best person to design a diet chart for you based on your body’s specific needs and requirements. It is suggested that one should avoid consuming junk food in order to stay healthy. Moreover, healthy diet alone cannot guarantee weight loss and great health. In addition to consuming healthy diet, one should also do some bit of workout that can be in the form of household activities, dance, jogging, walking, yoga, or exercises in order to make their body absolutely fit and healthy.

Over-eating is something that must be avoided in all situations. This is because over-eating leads to increase in size of stomach which in turn starts demanding more food and hence you end gaining weight instead of losing it. Try curbing your hunger at odd intervals. Take food at regular intervals in small portions as it enhances digesting ability of your body as well as your body’s rate of metabolism. Another key nutrient that is must in all diets is water. You need to keep your body hydrated all the time. This helps in flushing out harmful toxins from your body that in turn makes your strong and healthy. Drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water per day. Water can be consumed in any form like juices, shakes, etc. but ensure you are having fresh juices without any added sugar.
